The Glennville Sweet Onion Festival takes place annually the second weekend in May, in the downtown Barnard Street area, from Hwy. 301 to Tillman Street.
ROAD CLOSURES AND DETOURS WILL BE IN FORCE MAY 10TH BETWEEN 6 AM AND 6 PM.
Parking is plentiful, but in several scattered locations throughout the town. A few areas that can be utilized by visitors to the festival include the parking area of:
• Glennville Funeral Home
• First Baptist Church
• Brannen Family Funeral Services
• Glennville Garden Club Center
• Glennville United Methodist Church
• Behind The Journal Sentinel office
• Glennville City Auditorium
• City Hall
• Cadence Bank
• Restoration Pointe Church of God
...and along several side streets near the downtown area.
**Please observe City of Glennville & GDOT designated road closure signs and DO NOT MOVE OR ATTEMPT TO PASS. These roads are closed for a reason - for festival staff, vendor entry/exit, and emergency vehicles.
*Please note that the Glennville Bank parking area is for art/craft vendors ONLY. Vendors cannot leave this Glennville Bank parking area until 5 p.m., after the festival has ended. Food vendors will have a paved area to park behind Strickland's Pharmacy, designated just for food vendors.
*The grassed area behind the food booths is reserved for children's activities, so please do not park in this area.
*When parking, please be careful not to block other vehicles in so that they cannot be removed.
